artistas representadas en la feria ARCO18 sólo el 6% son artistas femeninas españolas. Sólo el 34% de las galerías presentes en ARCO están lideradas por mujeres. ¿Será esto porque el 80% de los miembros del comité organizador de ARCO está formado por hombres? ¿Será por eso? ¿El 71,4% de los Premios ARCO se asignan a artistas masculinos? ” (MAV, 2018)
Tanto La Ribot como Trisha Brown habían propuesto performances no falocéntricas específicamente en “It’s a Draw”, Trisha establece diálogos entre las artes visuales y la performance y entre lo horizontal. y planos verticales. Trisha juega constantemente con estos planos dibujando-bailando, dándole a un público que no está presente la intimidad de la producción de una obra, esencialmente ella dibuja pero ese no es el objetivo, ella se mueve y los dibujos son consecuencia de estar en ese plano. . En esta performance me interesa específicamente cómo la artista utiliza el dibujo en diálogo con el cuerpo y cómo lo vincula a una historia no falocéntrica. En este sentido, el proyecto alude a este problema que hoy nos sigue afectando con los recursos que utiliza Trisha en “It’s a Draw”.
