A los 14 años, cuando le regalaron su primera cámara, Remedios Sola (Puerto Lumbreras, Murcia, España, 1999) pasó de mirar fotografías y vídeos familiares durante horas a realizar sus propios retratos. Sin embargo, fue a los 19 años, mientras estudiaba Comunicación Audiovisual en la Universidad de Murcia, cuando descubrió que más que la imagen en sí, lo que le interesaba del cine y la fotografía era la vida que plasmaban. A partir de ese momento ha desarrollado varios proyectos fotográficos conceptuales y cortometrajes documentales intimistas mientras estudia Cine y Televisión en la Universidad Carlos III. Entre ellos destacan ‘El Espejo de la Fotografía’ y el cortometraje ’21’ -premio especial de la III Edición de la Residencia Encuentro Audiovisual Cinema Jove 2020-.

At the age of 14, when she was given her first camera, Remedios Sola (Puerto Lumbreras, Murcia, Spain, 1999) went from watching family photographs and videos for hours to taking her own portraits. However, it was at 19, while studying Audiovisual Communication at the University of Murcia, when she discovered that more than the image itself, what interested her about film and photography was the life they captured. From that moment on, she has developed several conceptual photographic projects and intimate documentary short films while studying Film and Television at the Carlos III University. Among them, ‘El Espejo de la Fotografía’ and the short film ’21’ -special prize of the 3rd Edition of the Cinema Jove 2020 Audiovisual Meeting Residence- stand out.
